Spotted Lantern Fly

It seems everywhere I go outside these past few weeks I am seeing more and more of these Spotted Lantern Flies. While they are very pretty, we all need to spread the word that they are invasive and damaging. The best thing to do is to kill them.

Last year, I wrote about them and how it was hard explaining to our granddaughter why they much go. This year she has been helping us destroy them. Even walking across the soccer field today, she saw one right in the grass. As she went to step on it, it jumped and few away. She eventually was able to get.

They are attaching themselves to our house and are crawling in the mulch. Even our cat got into the action the other day and caught a few.
