Winter Has Come!
Anyone who knows me knows that I’m not a big fan of snow, cold or wind. I think a lot of it has to do with growing up here on the nursery and owning my own wholesale nursery. For years, SNOW = going outside and beating the sides of the greenhouses to get as much snow as we could off of them so they wouldn’t collapse. That of course = COLD! Bone chilling, hands and feet freezing, nose numbing COLD! Add the wind to that and you get my drift!
That said, I’m working on my mindset this year. New terminology for me. This past weekend, watching all the snow come down, I decided to stop worrying and just enjoy the beauty of it. Fresh falling snow is beautiful, no doubt about it. I saw all the different birds swarming our bird feeder. And the deer running in the snow-covered field across the street. Even the squirrels and rabbits got in the action, checking under the bird feeders for any leftover seeds. Then, best of all was hearing the laughter of my grands as they played in the snow with their parents.
So for all the complaining I do about the snow, I am delighted to say I really did enjoy the beauty of Mother Nature in all her glory. But now that we’ve had this wonderful, beautiful snow, it can go away! I’m ready for Spring! Are you?
If you have any photos of this past weekend’s snowfall we would love you to share them with us. You can share on our Facebook page, Instagram or twitter.
Stay Warm!
