Extreme Makeover 1 Year Anniversary

EMHD-AfterIn June 2008, Behnke’s and many others were part of the amazing 4 day build of the home for the Jackson Family on “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition”.

On July 11th, from 12-5pm, Classic Homes is hosting an “Extreme Makeover” Open House and 1st Anniversary of the build. This is also a fundraising event, and all of the money that is raise will go to Habitat for Humanity. Classic Homes of Maryland wants to celebrate this amazing build, and raise awareness about the issue of homelessness and the struggles of low-income families.

They are requesting that attendees donate $5 upon entry to support this cause. With this donation, attendees will receive a T-shirt, DVD copy of the event, access to all activities, including moon bounce and musical performances, and a personalized tour of the home.

Stephanie Fleming was raised at Behnke’s Nurseries in Beltsville. Her Mom, Sonja, was one of Albert & Rose Behnke’s four children. She was weeding from the moment she could walk and hiding as soon as she was old enough to run, so many weeds, so little time. Although she quickly learned how to pull out a perennial and get taken off of weed pulling duty.
