I do want everyone to know, we will be keeping our website and blog going. We will be writing about different independent garden centers and continue to give you great information about your garden. We are keeping our social media going and will answer questions as soon as we can.

Once I start writing about other garden centers it will give you the time to plan a weekend visit. I will also be writing about different events going on in our area with the different plant clubs and garden societies along with some great gardens you might want to visit.

I am pretty excited about this next stage in my life and I hope to get suggestions from all of you on other things you might be interested in. Of course, I will be adding things about my growing family and some of the history of my grandparents, the Behnke’s.

Stephanie Fleming was raised at Behnke’s Nurseries in Beltsville. Her Mom, Sonja, was one of Albert & Rose Behnke’s four children. She was weeding from the moment she could walk and hiding as soon as she was old enough to run, so many weeds, so little time. Although she quickly learned how to pull out a perennial and get taken off of weed pulling duty.
