This past June, my husband and I started taking walks each morning in our local park. We get there at 7AM each morning, and after all these weeks are becoming part of the regular walkers.

What a year this has been so far. So many businesses have had to close. So many events are closed. Last Spring, our graduates did not have their proms and graduations. The new normal we are told.
With social distancing and everything that goes with it, I am not sure about you, but I am past ready to hug someone other than my husband.
I finally did it! I ventured out and went to the hardware store. I needed some more stripper for that ice chest my husband was redoing, and I decided to just go get it. Only 15 people in at a time. Everyone wears a mask.
What is wrong here? Where are all my beautiful daffodils? Did the squirrels eat them, even though they are supposed to be ‘squirrel proof?” Did some die out? Why just there?

I am still processing how our country, our world, have shut down because of this virus. I think of so many that are struggling, wondering how to make ends meet, the business owners that are worried about their employees and companies.
What January and February are really good for is for gaining knowledge–sharpening your most important tool, your mind. I encourage you to take a leap beyond gathering information from the internet.
As I mentioned last week, I flew down to the AmericasMart to have a peek at what is new and exciting that we could offer on our online store. I am happy to report that I found many of our old friends more than excited to partner with us in this new way.
So many vibrant colors everywhere. Walking around our yard while waiting for my grandson to get off the bus the other afternoon, I saw our Knockout rose all budded up and ready to burst open.
