Visit the U.S. Botanic Garden for the Holidays
Ever seen the Conservatory at the U.S. Botanic Gardens all dressed up and action-packed for the holidays? No?!? Then get yourself and your family, especially the kids, down there for the big show – on display from Thanksgiving Day through January 2.
The USBG’s popular holiday show is in two parts:
The Garden Railway exhibit. Follow the trains and explore “Who Lives Here?” to see all kinds of delightful dwellings, from an opossum house and a critter condo to models of American presidential homes.
You’ll enter the main door of the conservatory to find everything else – one of the largest indoor decorated trees in Washington, D.C., and the Garden Court decorated with plant-based models of the DC’s landmark buildings and their gorgeous seasonal plant displays. All that on top of the permanent displays in the Conservatory.
