Thank You Larry Hurley For Everything!

As Larry Hurley and his wife prepare to leave Maryland and move back home to Wisconsin and family, I wanted to share one of his many humorous gardening posts that we all love. But, before I do that, I want to thank Larry for all his years of putting up with the Behnke family and me. A true friend in every sense of the word. Larry has assured us that while he may be leaving Maryland, he is not leaving us. He still has many stories to share with us, along with so many new ones as he starts this next chapter in their lives. So long, my friend, we will all miss you, but thankfully we have the internet to connect. And double thankfully, you still are willing to be my editor and chief with Beyond Behnke’s! You are the best!! ~ Stephanie
With Halloween around the corner, we thought it would be fun to remind you why we like gardening, tongue firmly in cheek. October 2015
Always enjoyed talking with Larry and appreciated his gardening wisdom. Vaya con Dios.
I will let him know you wrote! I can’t wait to see what is in store for his Wisconsin Garden
Thank you Larry for answering my questions via email and for in store help too. Remember the time my Rotary was ringing the bell for Salvation Army at Behnkes and right at dusk it started to snow?
Enjoy the land of the best Sharp cheddar cheese in the world!

Thank you for taking the time to leave a message for Larry. He really loved to answer questions about plants. I miss seeing you and mom ringing that wonderful Salvation Army Bell each December at Behnke’s!
take care,
Stephanie
I have many fond memories of Larry. I worked with him many years ago in the Upper Marlboro. Larry was always a great and kind man.
Thanks for writing. I am sure once Larry gets settled he will enjoy hearing from his friends.
Sorry to see Larry leaving the DMV – but glad he will be enjoying his time in Wisconsin with his family!
Have a terrific retirement!
